Oprah Winfrey is one woman who isn’t afraid to do things big. While the former daytime TV goddess has taken a step back from the public eye in recent years, she is now back – and bigger than ever. Winfrey, who is making the rounds promoting her new film, “The Butler,” decided to bring back her presence with large-than-life hair on the cover of the September edition of O, The Oprah Magazine.
The cover shot features Winfrey in a gorgeous tangerine dress and a huge, 3.5-pound Afro wig that takes up the top portion of the page. Winfrey decided to show off the bigger-is-better hairstyle to encourage other women to talk about their hair – what they love about it and what they can’t stand. The TV host admitted she loved donning the sensational hairpiece, adding she’s so in awe of it that she made the snapshot her Facebook profile picture.
Though Winfrey didn’t rock the same size Afro to the New York City premiere of her new film, she did opt for a smaller version of the look using her natural locks. According to the Huffington Post, Winfrey attended the event with longtime love Stedman Graham. She was surrounded by other stars of the film, like Lenny Kravitz, Andre Leon Talley and Forest Whitaker.
